Increasing global urbanization has led more than half of the world's population to live in urban settings, shaping densely populated. While this leads to increasing social and economic benefits, it also implies increasing environmental, socio-economic vulnerabilities and multiple risks. Waterfront contexts are vulnerable areas to the risks of climate change as sea level rise and extreme weather events are expected to increase and intensify the retreat and erosion of coastlines. Abstract

This paper explores innovative strategies for urban regeneration, focusing on sustainable mobility and green infrastructure. The case study of Sant Adrià de Besòs showcases a multi-scalar planning approach that integrates green corridors, soft mobility paths, and resilient public spaces, emphasizing the importance of inclusive and sustainable urban development.
