Much more recent than similar human anatomy texts, in Italy movable books of veterinary interest make use of the so-called ‘lift the flap’ paper mechanism and take inspiration and illustrations from foreign models. The paper intends to present this bibliographic typology in its specificities and in its relationships with the international panorama of the time, as well as providing some biographical data on the Italian veterinary doctors involved in the these editorial experiences.
Molto più recenti degli analoghi testi di anatomia umana, in Italia i libri animati di interesse veterinario si avvalgono tutti del meccanismo cartotecnico cosiddetto detto ‘lift the flap’ e prendono spunto e immagini dai modelli stranieri. Il contributo intende presentare questa tipologia bibliografica nelle sue specificità e nei rapporti con il panorama internazionale coevo, oltre a fornire alcuni dati biografici sui medici veterinari italiani coinvolti nelle singole esperienze editoriali.
