This paper aims to grasp the crucial points of Yemeni contemporary dramaturgy through an original Yemeni version of the theater of the Absurd. Specifically, it analyzes a collection of four plays by writer Samir ‘Abd al-Fattah, edited in 2007. His work depicts the great fears, loneliness and sense of confusion in today’s man through dynamic dialogues, a structurally modern text and unique scenic solutions that are typical of experimental theater.
