Preface

This book conveys attention to the theme of transition toward resilience and sustainability and its evolutionary perspective that emphasizes the complexity and uncertainty in which governments and society are called to take action in response to the ongoing severe and pressing challenges and find shared visions and pathways for an alternative future. Therefore, the book aims to bring together scholars from a wide range of disciplines to creatively engage with the current debate on how the recovery and resilience plans will shape the future of cities and regions in Europe.
