This essay illustrates the history of the exhibitions organised by the artistic group Verifica 8+1, based in Mestre (Venice, Italy) from 1978 to 2008. Among the numerous self-managed exhibitions realised over the years, the research focuses on the three major events held on the 10th, 20th and 30th anniversary to celebrate the activities of the group. The purpose of the analy- sis is aimed at developing a project for the reenactment of those exhibitions, based on the study of catalogues and documents of the Fondo Verifica 8+1 archive collection
