Letture diverse degli sviluppi socio-economici dell’età del Bronzo nell’Italia sud-orientale

Attempts made by scholars to understand socio-economic development in Bronze Age south-east Italy have reached diverging results. This paper explores the reasons underlying these different reconstructions to figure out to what extent these stems from diverse interpretive approaches and to what extent they depend on the data and contexts considered in each analysis. Some extensively excavated long-lasting settlements (i.e. Coppa Nevigata and Roca) and notable funerary contexts (i.e. Trinitapoli, Manaccora Cave and Toppo Daguzzo) belonging to the Bronze Age are taken into consideration, highlighting the different interpretations proposed by the scholars who have analysed them
