At the end of the First World War, Northern France was completely devastated and the Pas-de-Calais region suffered the destruction of much of its architectural heritage. This contribution aims to describe the work of reconstruction in Nord Pas-de-Calais, in the historical region of Artois, which took place through material construction and through the re-proposition of an architectural and urban image capable of restoring a form and an identity to places that were now destroyed and unrecognisable.

Al termine della Prima Guerra mondiale, il nord della Francia fu completamente devastato e la regione del Pas-de-Calais subì la distruzione di gran parte del patrimonio architettonico. Questo contributo vuole descrivere l’opera di ricostruzione nel Nord Pas-de-Calais, nella regione storica dell'Artois, avvenuta con la costruzione materiale e attraverso la riproposizione di un’immagine architettonica e urbana in grado di restituire una forma e un’identità ai luoghi oramai distrutti e irriconoscibili
