In this afterword, I take stock of the exciting scholarly work and debates generated by the dissemination of Indian Shakespeare cinema (or 'Bollywood Shakespeare') in the West. I argue that while the increasing popularity of Indian Shakespeare cinema would seem to have narrowed the gap between the source and the recipient cultures that produce and consume it, one needs to remain alert, and value, culture difference, even when it remains impervious to translation or interpretation.

Abstract
In this afterword, I take stock of the exciting scholarly work and debates generated by the dissemination of Indian Shakespeare cinema (or 'Bollywood Shakespeare') in the West. I argue that while the increasing popularity of Indian Shakespeare cinema would seem to have narrowed the gap between the source and the recipient cultures that produce and consume it, one needs to remain alert, and value, culture difference, even when it remains impervious to translation or interpretation.File allegati a questo prodotto
