The chapter describes iconography and historical context of one of the most precious exhibits of the Georgian National Museum, chalice from Bedia. While excuisitely decorated and apparently produced in a royal workshop on the commission of King Bagrat III and his mother, the chalice is almost unknown outside the Georgian historiography.
