Un approccio relazionale e integrato al territorio

The idea of territory has changed over time, in different societies. If we wanted to look for a definition, the one that is most significant for me is this: the territory is a set of interactions between the system of relationships between the natural, biotic and abiotic components, also in terms of ecological functionality, and the system of relationships between the anthropic components, in its ecological evolution and in its historical and cultural stratification. The territory is also the projection into space of social relations, it incorporates social relations, as well as hierarchies, conflicts, often in an "invisible" way externally.

L’idea di territorio è cambiata nel tempo, nelle diverse società. Se volessimo cercare una definizione, quella che per me è più significativa è questa: il territorio è un insieme di interazioni tra il sistema delle relazioni tra le componenti naturali, biotiche e abiotiche, anche in termini di funzionalità ecologica, e il sistema delle relazioni tra le componenti antropiche, nella sua evoluzione ecologica e nella sua stratificazione storica e culturale. Il territorio è anche la proiezione nello spazio delle relazioni sociali, incorpora le relazioni sociali, così come le gerarchie, i conflitti, spesso in maniera “invisibile” esteriormente.
