Progettare per la transizione energetica ed ecologica verso la neutralità climatica e la circolarità delle risorse

The contribution retraces the strategic-operational guidelines for intervening on cities, the built environment, and the architectural heritage, in relation to the many researches and experimentations carried out over the last three decades and currently being developed and concretely applied in the urban realities of many countries around the world, and in coherence with the directives, reports and documents of the European Union, the United Nations and the Italian Government, ranging, just to name a few, from the “Cities of Tomorrows Report” to the “European Union’s Energy and Climate Directive”; from the “Agenda 2030” to the “United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”; from the “Climate and Energy Policy Framework 2030” package to the “Next Generation EU” initiative; from the “Roadmap 2050” to the European Commission’s “European Green Deal 2050”; and, of course, from the “National Research Plan” (PNR) to the “National Recovery and Resilience Plan” (PNRR, in particular mission 2, “Green Revolution and Ecological Transition”). The relections are developed in the awareness of the inescapable and fundamental confrontation between Institutions, Professions, Universities and Research, and in the conviction that today it is necessary to focus on investigating and carrying out experimentations and concrete interventions within three epochal ‘trilaterations’, those of the relationship between Energy, Climate and Green City; between Energy, Circulation and Dwelling Renovation; and between Energy, Heritage and Cultural Heritage.
