It is widely accepted that trade openness, the international movement of factors of production, and the international circulation of information have stimulated the economic and political progress of nations. At the same time, some experts believe this increased economic interrelation has also led to wider marginalization and inequality. This chapter argues that these phenomena have not only increased global inequalities but have also caused greater risk exposure and, in general, increased feelings of vulnerability.

Abstract
It is widely accepted that trade openness, the international movement of factors of production, and the international circulation of information have stimulated the economic and political progress of nations. At the same time, some experts believe this increased economic interrelation has also led to wider marginalization and inequality. This chapter argues that these phenomena have not only increased global inequalities but have also caused greater risk exposure and, in general, increased feelings of vulnerability.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
