In this paper we examined the complexity of studying the terminology of job and work titles in Hittite records. We purposely limited our investigation to some specific job titles connected with the ‘palace’, whilst remaining extremely conscious of the problems which affect the study of the entire corpus of lemmata related to work activities in Hittite sources. This means that we selected only logograms, leaving out all the words in Anatolian languages, with the aim of presenting an overview which could be inspiring in an interdisciplinary perspective

Abstract
In this paper we examined the complexity of studying the terminology of job and work titles in Hittite records. We purposely limited our investigation to some specific job titles connected with the ‘palace’, whilst remaining extremely conscious of the problems which affect the study of the entire corpus of lemmata related to work activities in Hittite sources. This means that we selected only logograms, leaving out all the words in Anatolian languages, with the aim of presenting an overview which could be inspiring in an interdisciplinary perspectiveI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
