The key idea of this volume is the intention of presenting different declinations of the complex relationship between art, politics and society in the interpretation of some classical and contemporary exponents of philosophical and sociological reflection, in order to restore the multifaceted impact exerted by the aesthetic dimension on the social and political sphere. Beyond the inevitable theoretical divergences, resulting from widely differentiated temporal and cultural contexts, all the authors considered here turn their attention to the aesthetic dimension trying to "look beyond" its most evident manifestations, in search of causes, operating logics, forms and cultural effects on the action of individuals, groups, societies. The invitation, of profound relevance, is to recover, thanks also to the work of art, more inclusive logics, more substantial forms of rationality, elements and motivations of a humanistic nature, aimed at bringing the potential of the individual and collective subjects in reciprocal relations, as well as the occasions for critical contestation of the growing developments in the direction of a "culture of quantity", of hyper-rationalism, of the mere economistic exaltation of utility and profit. In this, art can have a multifaceted impact on the social and political sphere, as it emerges from the various testimonies proposed here, assuming the meaning of conservation, openness or even denial in view of change.

Abstract
In this, art can have a multifaceted impact on the social and political sphere, as it emerges from the various testimonies proposed here, assuming the meaning of conservation, openness or even denial in view of change.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
