Among the languages that Vittore Pisani knew, Albanian had a non-secondary relevance. My article tries to shed light on two lesser-known aspects of his research in that field: the origin of his interest in Albanian studies, which can be traced back to lex Pisani, i. e. the Armenian developments of the PIE “gutturals”, and his relationship with the most important Albanologists of the 20th century.

Abstract
Among the languages that Vittore Pisani knew, Albanian had a non-secondary relevance. My article tries to shed light on two lesser-known aspects of his research in that field: the origin of his interest in Albanian studies, which can be traced back to lex Pisani, i. e. the Armenian developments of the PIE “gutturals”, and his relationship with the most important Albanologists of the 20th century.File allegati a questo prodotto
