If we think about great masters such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, we notice how the immense admiration for their work sometimes leads us to freeze our judgment, to block our critical sense due to the great respect for their works. However, it is very important to attempt a critic, which leads us to understand the greatness of the projects by the effort of a discordant opinion which, usually, cannot find reasons to justify itself. This operation guides us to work on the actualization of problems, which facilitates learning general teachings that are hidden in the projects of the Masters. Looking at architecture in this way is, in my opinion, the right way to discover a deeper lesson and not just to learn the forms.

Abstract
If we think about great masters such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, we notice how the immense admiration for their work sometimes leads us to freeze our judgment, to block our critical sense due to the great respect for their works. However, it is very important to attempt a critic, which leads us to understand the greatness of the projects by the effort of a discordant opinion which, usually, cannot find reasons to justify itself. This operation guides us to work on the actualization of problems, which facilitates learning general teachings that are hidden in the projects of the Masters. Looking at architecture in this way is, in my opinion, the right way to discover a deeper lesson and not just to learn the forms.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
