Laodikeia (Laodicea on the Lycos). Greek and Latin Inscriptions found in the excavation 2003-2021

The present edition is a collection of the inscriptions unearthed during the excavations directed by Prof. Dr. Celal Şimşek of Pamukkale Üniversitesi (Denizli), beginning in 2003. After twenty years of investigation, our knowledge of the site has grown exponentially and the epigraphic patrimony is enormous compared to the time when Corsten’s I.Laodikeia am Lykos was published. Furthermore, the new inscriptions can be placed within a clear urban context, at least in some of its basic parts, and some of them belong to the city’s integral architecture. They are therefore even more valuable from a historical perspective because they can be contextualized.
