PIAZZA TIBURTINO III

The book contains the results of a search for over 2 years carried out on the territory of the township of the fascist era (1937) Tiburtino III, eastern suburb of Roma.La research proposes a synthesis between oral history and geographic analysis aimed at defining the individuality of a territory by reading and reconstruction of the processes of regionalization, which have transformed a patchwork of individuals and families from different backgrounds in a community deeply rooted in their own territory. Volume is accompanied by a video documentary with footage in the area, extracted from the Istituto Luce newsreels and interviews with many of the inhabitants of the township.

Il volume raccoglie i risultati di una ricerca di oltre 2 anni svolta sul territorio della borgata di epoca fascista (1937) di Tiburtino III, periferia est di Roma. La ricerca propone una sintesi tra la storia orale e l'analisi geografica tesa a definire la individualità di un territorio tramite la lettura e ricostruzione dei processi di territorializzazione, che hanno trasformato un coacervo di individui e famiglie di diversa provenienza in una comunità fortemente radicata al proprio territorio. Al volume si accompagna un videodocumentario con riprese sul territorio, estratti da cinegiornali dell'Istituto Luce e interviste a molti degli abitanti della borgata.
