Since besides the discussed Artemidorus’s papyrus there are no other geographical papyri accompanied by maps, the only way to address the problem of the possible presence of maps next to the texts of the works of geography is the internal analysis of the texts. The subject of this contribution are two key terms present in Strabo’s work: πίναξ and γραμμή.
