After a short introduction to the practice of contract farming and its potential advantages and drawbacks, this paper will attempt at illustrating the main features of the bilateral legal relationship known as agricultural production contract (III). It will then address some issues of key interest for the concerned matter, namely the typical obligations assumed by the parties, the remedies in case of breach of contract and the impact of supervening events on contractual performance.
