In a former paper on the same topic, an analysis of the final scene of Euripides’ Medea allows the identification of a further reprise of Euripidean dramatic technique in Aristophanes’ Clouds and, meanwhile, confirms that in Aristophanes’ comedies paratragodia not always coincides with parody, or the comic distortion of a tragic model.
