The field of organic electronics continues to move forward at a swift pace for future, next-generation electronics. In this regard, this chapter explores the key organic materials and devices in the development of electronic devices. First, we introduce organic semiconductors in terms of main characteristics, requirements for high performance, and history of development. Furthermore, we mainly focus on three representative organic electronics devices, including organic field-effect transistors, organic photovoltaics, and organic light-emitting diodes, and explore their basic operation mechanism, device structure, figures of merits, and main chemical structures of organic materials employed in each kind of device.
