Abstract
The phenomenon of itinerant poets, interpreters and intellectuals who traveled throughout the cultural centers of the Greek world in the Hellenistic age constitutes a fundamental chapter in the history of literature and culture. This movement, that falls into the sphere of literature and para-literature we can define as "popular", developed concurrently with court literature and is part of a lost or submerged heritage on which the epigraphic sources can shed light, albeit necessarily in a partial way. The work plan for this investigation, is organized on a territorial basis and the reconstruction starts from one of the most productive cultural areas: the Cyclades islands, with particular attention to Delos.
