The urgency for conservation and presentation of the archaeologic remains on the site is a problematic challenge. Not only it is necessary to face the need for shelter from the weather: ruins must be accessible, perceivable, understandable especially because most of the time the excavations are isolated and devalued by the surroundings. After the digging, the pledge of caring lead often to projects of sheltering with no architectural quality, that can’t establish a relationship between the remains and the spatial context in which they are. Along with the need of physical protection, it is necessary to provide the opportunity to attempt a semantic exchange with antiquity – as users are the genuine recipients of cultural heritage, so as to develop a full awareness of the conservation project on sites that can be considered ‘frail’, as more exposed to decay, state of abandon and lack of communication. The aim of the paper is to present some ephemeral structures helping to read ancient ruins through evoking signs - with a detailed analysis on Acquarossa project - to outline possible development prospects.

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present some ephemeral structures helping to read ancient ruins through evoking signs - with a detailed analysis on Acquarossa project - to outline possible development prospects.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
