Over the years, various research has been aimed at an overall project to construct a historical/documentary atlas in order to bring to light the settlement, urban, and environmental heritage of the Piceno territory. Some objectives of the individual aspects of the research are aimed at realising a global representation by juxtaposing architectural buildings and monuments, urban places, and landscapes in order to highlight the rules of settlement and the implantation of recurring forms in the landscape heritage.
