Terzi paesaggi. All’interno degli spazi dell’alterità

The need to readjust the theoretical principles to look at the ‘countryside’ space, to identify the necessary conditions for the architectural project, is characterizing the theoretical research of the contemporary. The interest in extra-urban territories has put some urgent considerations under the magnifying glass, including, the crisis of the urban model as an inhabited space, the need for singular autonomy and collective interdependence of the project, the project as an integrated production expedient autonomous. These needs re-define parameters with which to answer the question: can the ‘countryside’ be a productive and ecological infrastructure, a dwelling solution? Crossing the updated relationship with the soil, the energy-environmental ‘avances’, the settlement relationships as both collective and productive dynamics, new hierarchies and needs required by the project and its theory are defined.
