The main methodological decisions taken to create the World Love Index and the results are shown in this chapter. The World Love Index is the product of quantitative operationalization of social love dimensions: overabundance, caring for others, recognition of others, and universalism. To study the phenomenon of social love all around the world, the World Love Index was created using individual data sources, and compared with the already existing indices, Humanitarian Protection Index (HPI) and Red List Index (RLI), related to ecological data sources. This work highlights that social love can be investigated from the point of view of individual and institutional social actors
