The taste of the future

How will we eat in ten, fifty or a hundred years' time? Will we have to be content with chewing pills during the colonisation of Mars, or will we be able to enjoy a nice steaming pizza while exploring the cosmos? Will we produce crops in hydroponic plants or apply technological innovations that favour regenerative forms of agriculture in open fields? i Will we assemble our food, ready for consumption, directly from molecular material in domestic machines or will we still have to cook, perhaps using ingredients ordered online by a refrigerator that knows what we are missing? Will we still consume Italian products or will our diet have become completely global?

Come mangeremo da qui a dieci, cinquanta, o cento anni? Dovremo accontentarci di masticare pillole durante la colonizzazione di Marte o potremo gustarci una bella pizza fumante mentre esploriamo il cosmo? Produrremo raccolti in impianti idroponici o applicheremo innovazioni tecnologiche favorevoli a forme di agricoltura rigenerativa in campi all’aperto?i Assembleremo il nostro cibo, già pronto per il consumo, direttamente da materiale molecolare in macchinari domestici o dovremo ancora cucinare, magari usando ingredienti ordinati online da un frigorifero che sa cosa ci manca? Consumeremo ancora prodotti italiani o la nostra dieta sarà diventata completamente globale?
