The essay deal with the Giacomo Boni's relationship with the Roman artistic environment from his arrival in the capital in 1888 until the early years of the 20th century. This period of time is particularly central to the construction of modern languages that also look to international culture in order to demonstrate the leading role played by the architect-archaeologist, in particular through his active participation in the Villa Blanc building site, the most important of fin de siècle Rome.
Il saggio delinea il rapporto di Giacomo Boni con l'ambiente artistico romano dal suo arrivo nella Capitale nel 1888 sino ai primi anni del Novecento.
