This article aims to analyze the main decisions made in Brazil and in the world about the legal framework and socio-legal repercussions of workers on digital platforms. The study is necessary insofar as it makes a critical approach to the main grounds used to characterise workers as self-employed/employed, with due reservations in attention to the particularities and observance of the legislation of the regency of each country. It aims, therefore, to analyze the international perspective of a theme that extrapolates the regional limits of each country, considering the global phenomenon of big tech whose financial and economic capital impose and disseminate precarized work. The study also aims to demonstrate that these new forms of work arising from techno-digital advancement, with the advent of Industry 4.0, imply a greater fragmentation of the working class causing greater difficulties in the forms of representation and trade union organization. The precarious nature of this new type of work and the situation of vulnerability result in the violation of the main principles established by the ILO, in particular the prohibition of the commodification of human labor. Inductive methodology was used for the research, through the analysis of specific cases, bibliographic, legislative and jurisprudential research.
