The paper presents the picture emerging from a new census of infant burials in Latium vetus and adiectum, from the beginning of the Iron Age to the end of the fourth century BC, carried out as part of a research project dedicated to the reconstruction of ancient architecture and landscapes of Lazio, conducted as part of a collaboration between the Lazio Region and Sapienza University of Rome. The diachronic development of the contexts for which the documentation allows to read the topographical distribution inside and outside the habitation of the infant depositions, the horizontal stratigraphy of the necropolis and the various contexts has been reconstructed - domestic or other - in which burials of infants are attested within the inhabited areas. This has made it possible to identify a series of elements that push to reconsider the phenomenon of funerary representativeness of subadult individuals in the Latin context compared to the picture given today for acquired.
