This issue of The Essays on Language and Translation (Volume 2) is the second attempt to examine modem linguistic problems within the international context. The publication comprises articles by the academics from the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages at Kuban State University (Krasnodar, Russia), by a lecturer and researcher in English Language and Translation at the University of Ferrara (Ferrara, Italy) and by the researchers from the College of Languages and Translation at King Khalid University (Abha, Saudi Arabia). The contributions presented in the journal are devoted to such a variety of linguistic issues that we decided not to limit them by any thematic organization. As a result, the articles are arranged by the names of their authors in the alphabetic order. However, it is possible to single out several main directions of research — translation difficulties, communication methods and strategies, various representations of discourse analysis, and certainly English teaching methods and techniques.
