The strategic visions of response to environmental and economic changes, which emanate from the global scale and are gradually declined at the local level, have left their traces in the process that goes from the themes of sustainability to those of knowledge, arriving, as far as tourism is concerned, to the concepts of smart tourism (ST) and, obviously, smart destination (SD). The cornerstone of SD, in its narrative explanation, is the ability to make sustainability proposals to renew mature tourist destinations. Through a reconstruction of the tourist dynamics and the choices of public and private operators in the Upper Camonica Valley, we want to investigate the neoliberal application that local operators have implemented in the issues of territorial governance. The theme is that there is a gap between discourses and narrative practices of the sustainable destination, therefore green and smart, and the commitment, responsibility for sustainability, quality of life and liveability.

Abstract
The theme is that there is a gap between discourses and narrative practices of the sustainable destination, therefore green and smart, and the commitment, responsibility for sustainability, quality of life and liveability.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
