Starting from the idea of the city as a place of life, this essay intends to reflect on the condition of crisis that our urban organisms are going through, high- lighting its limits and potential. The recent Covid-19 pandemic has helped to re-emerge latent problems and re-consider new ones: with greater awareness, it is perhaps possible to transform our historical moment into an opportunity to identify the limits of planning and incorrect habits and, finally, find new ideas for the city of the future.
