Annotations on the Book of Zambasta, I

L’articolo presenta una prima serie di annotazioni dettagliate a proposito di reinterpretazioni di passi problematici del poema buddhista in khotanese antico noto come Libro di Zambasta che sono state introdotte nella traduzione italiana di Maggi (2004) di sei capitoli del testo: Zambasta 1.44, 80-81, 189 e colophon; Zambasta 2.15, 75, 77, 120, 138, 200 and 240; Zambasta 4.18 and 56; Zambasta 14.11-12, 74, and 89; Zambasta 24.126-161 and 24.649. The paper presents a first batch of detailed annotations on reinterpretations of problem passages in the Old Khotanese Buddhist poem known as the Book of Zambasta that were introduced in Maggi’s Italian translation (2004) of six chapters of the text: Zambasta 1.44, 80-81, 189 and colophon; Zambasta 2.15, 75, 77, 120, 138, 200 and 240; Zambasta 4.18 and 56; Zambasta 14.11-12, 74, and 89; Zambasta 24.126-161 and 24.649.
