This is a collection of texts from the fields of Economics, Business, Technology and the Media, and European Studies, for university students in social sciences Italian university Faculties. It aims at efficient reading and communication skills and a sensitization to textual and discursive variation. “Indeed, the socio-cultural purpose of the volume is to furnish the user with the tools for crossing geographical and disciplinary borders in order to participate effectively in a supra-national scientific community.” The didactic content, together with the pedagogic grammatical and discourse descriptions which accompany the textwork, are based on state-of-the-art scientific research in discourse analysis, particularly in the fields of academic, business, legal, institutional and media discourse.
