This paper deals with transmission problems involving highly conductive layers of fractal type imbedded in Euclidean domains. Suitable energy forms with singular terms on pre-fractal and fractal layers are constructed and related variational principles are stated. The asymptotic convergence of solutions of the pre-fractal problems to the solution of the fractal problem is studied. Some numerical results are also mentioned.
