In the light of continuous socio-cultural changes, such as population growth and aging of the population, and considering the alternative approaches in disease management, as the result of medical research progress, the scientific mix between project discipline and medicine has evolved, enriching itself of new methodological models and speculative outcomes. In this context, the design is called to address new challenges and opportunities that require new design approaches for the creation of innovative products and services capable of responding to the contextual needs of all the figures involved in the healthcare process, according to a systemic approach that affects both users and operators. Starting from the analysis of some case studies, the essay investigates the new scientific perspectives and the hybrid design speculations between medicine and design that are expressed as new products and services able to better respond to best meet the needs of users, both from a technological and functional point of view and capable of enhancing substantial emotional interaction mechanisms involving the user in the experience process. Through the integrated collaboration of knowledge and the sharing of a common language, it is possible to activate a synergic and creative process for the incremental and radical innovation of products, services, and systems according to an anthropocentric perspective that goes beyond the logic of mere functionality by identifying the quality of the experience as a determining factor in the medical project.
