Intorno alla riproduzione sul piano delle curvature soggettive

This study takes into consideration and deepens the phenomenon of subjective curvatures which presented difficulties to painters and was described in literature already during the Renaissance and Baroque ages. Therefore, particular attention is paid to the objection that denies the linear perspective the ability to reproduce the curvatures that straight lines would present in direct vision. However, these curvatures have an exclusively perspective orgin and can therefore be reproduced from the classical perspective. Contrary to what is claimed by various authours, the linear perspective is the only method capable of reproducing the physiological view.
