Sapienza University Campus is one of the highest expressions of Italian Modern Architecture. Designed by italian rational architect in every detail from structure to interiors and artistic pieces is the university city among themost famous in Italy and in the world. This study focuses just on some buildings of Sapienza University Campus, chosen with respect to their architectural qualities. Currently, these buildings maintain their original function of housing research and educational activities. Some were destroyed by the bombardments of Rome in 1943, others survived, but have undergone alterations and additions, mainly related to changes in the organization of university life and the increase in the number of users. The present study uses the current survey methodologies for the massive data acquisition, and the construction of integrated 3D and 2D digital models of the analyzed buildings. They constitute an updated documentation of their current states and are the basis to carry out specialized analyses, and for the dissemination and management of a heritage of the highest historical, architectural and cultural value. The realized models offer a conscious reading of the analyzed architecture, placing themselves as indispensable elements for reflections on the conservation of the modern architectural heritage, on its meanings almost a century after the realization and on the possible interventions after an awareness of the identity characters and those that have occurred over time.

Abstract
The realized models offer a conscious reading of the analyzed architecture, placing themselves as indispensable elements for reflections on the conservation of the modern architectural heritage, on its meanings almost a century after the realization and on the possible interventions after an awareness of the identity characters and those that have occurred over time.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
