Being in the world means having a world, not only as a place that hosts, but also as a boundary in which to project oneself: the body is something that goes beyond sensory possibilities and that is concerned with intentionality, planning, the vital interest in what surrounds it. Only starting from the body, therefore, can an external space come to be, the background in front of which an object can appear, the limit from which spatial relations open up. All this seems to be denied by the alteration that the body-space relationship has undergone since the beginning of the health emergency and the application of measures to discipline this relationship, with profound changes in the perception of the body in space and in the I-Other relationship. The article explores these changes and the effects of the pandemic on the relationship between individuals and private/public spaces.
