Oltre le IPAB. Sperimentazioni didattiche presso l’Istituto San Michele di Roma

This paper discusses a didactic project experience of Laboratorio C.I.R.C.O. within the Istituto Romano San Michele, a Public Institute that provides care and assistance services in Rome. After analyzing the current issues of the complex, unable to combine the spaces of care with the needs posed by the city in transformation and its new users, it will present some results of the C.I.R.C.O. project path. Through the re- design of its open and underutilized spaces, the project proposes to systematize the functional needs detected within the Institute and the neighborhood, with the aim of transforming the complex into an open, inclusive piece of the city, hospitable and rich in relationships, rethinking and expanding the concept of care to the diverse needs of urban living.
