Shedding some light upon lHa btsun Rin chen rnam rgyal (1473-1557): A study of two untranslated works from the Tucci Tibetan collection

This article aims at shedding some light upon lHa btsun Rin chen rnam rgyal by providing information on his previous lives, his birth as lHa btsun, family, education, ordination, masters, acquired teachings, foundation of Brag dkar rta so. It particularly focuses on Rin chen rnamrgyal's relationship with gTsang smyon Heruka, his main master. This research is based on two extant sixteenth century Tibetan hagiographies of lHa btsun preserved at the IsIAO Library in Rome.
