Currently incorporated into the perimeter of the basilica of Santa Prassede, the oratory of San Zenone originally stood as a building with a central plan grafted into the eastern side of the basilica, rebuilt by Pope Pasquale I (817-824). The survey activity conducted in recent years has had the dual objective of studying the formal architectural features of the building using the latest laser scanning systems and building a three-dimensional model aimed at analyzing and communicating the results. The latter is an interpolated model, very close to the real one, which presents an image texture never made before in San Zenone and made up of very high resolution images; the 3D model was the basis for the study and flat representation of all the mosaic surfaces that are difficult to access. Particular attention was paid to the development of the surfaces and the study of the shape of the oratory roof.

Abstract
Particular attention was paid to the development of the surfaces and the study of the shape of the oratory roof.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
