It was intended to mark an object or a chariot belonging to Protus, a slave that used to work as secretary (a manu) of an imperial freedman called Doryphorus. The latter could probably be identified with the powerful a libellis of the emperor Nero, known, until now, only from literary sources.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
