The text has the function of providing a critical introduction to the third part of the book, which is focused on the moment of conceiving the design process, and then investigates the potentials of cognitive, experiential, and design models connected to the new forms of collective/cooperative intelligence for providing a response to the main challenges of the future: to design in a time of “crisis,” in “emergency” conditions, in a state of “scarce resources,” and under conditions of “uncertainty.” The objective is to probe how the ability to govern decision-making processes is developing – or may be developed in the near future – in what are now structural conditions shaped by the challenges raised here, by recovering the exploratory and creative aspect of the design activity and the dialogue between the different intelligences involved.

Abstract
The text has the function of providing a critical introduction to the third part of the book, which is focused on the moment of conceiving the design process, and then investigates the potentials of cognitive, experiential, and design models connected to the new forms of collective/cooperative intelligence for providing a response to the main challenges of the future: to design in a time of “crisis,” in “emergency” conditions, in a state of “scarce resources,” and under conditions of “uncertainty.” The objective is to probe how the ability to govern decision-making processes is developing – or may be developed in the near future – in what are now structural conditions shaped by the challenges raised here, by recovering the exploratory and creative aspect of the design activity and the dialogue between the different intelligences involved.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
