The biblical image of “Cor” is interpreted by Augustinus under a christological perspective; starting from the “Confessiones”, the bishop of Ippona changed the platonic-christian meaning of “Imago Dei”: he used the theology of the justification of Paulus to describe the human inwardness as the place exposed to the event of grace: the Spirit breaks throught the human intimacy and converts it from the sin. That’s the reason why the “cor” is considered as an ecstatic spot that depends on the Gift of the Grace: the human being can not achieve the redemption with his own means because the Grace is free, not conditioned by merits or sins. “Cor” is the place where the human confesses his weakness and praises the immeasurable Gift of Grace.

Abstract
“Cor” is the place where the human confesses his weakness and praises the immeasurable Gift of Grace.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
