This paper explores the connection of human beings with natural elements, focussing on the e ect plants located on facades have on the inside of the building. In times in which the inhabitants of big cities – for whatever reason – need to stay indoors more often, the importance of the indi- viduals’ well-being by creating a health-improving connection to human surroundings becomes ever more critical. A green façade provides many opportunities to help with that, but several aspects regarding the visual impact need to be further researched.
