The article analyzed the International Union of Young Christian Democrats from its foundation until the end of the Seventies. In particular, this essay is focused on the peculiarities of the 1970's management of the organization, which was undoubtedly among the most active decade in terms of both its organizational aspects and political-ideological elaboration. The concept of the ruling class is used in a wider sense and does not exclusively refer to the political class.
