The paper deals with an optimal reliability-based approach to the management of lifetime safety and life-cycle cost of individual bridges and networks of bridges. The goal is to provide bridge management decisions that will balance bridge lifetime reliability and expected life-cycle cost in an optimal manner. Specific examples of cost-effective reliability-based bridge management illustrate the approach.

Abstract
The paper deals with an optimal reliability-based approach to the management of lifetime safety and life-cycle cost of individual bridges and networks of bridges. The goal is to provide bridge management decisions that will balance bridge lifetime reliability and expected life-cycle cost in an optimal manner. Specific examples of cost-effective reliability-based bridge management illustrate the approach.File allegati a questo prodotto
